About the product
Craft Meets Design is a digital ecosystem to support craft and heritage-driven artisans in Central and South-east Asia, with the ambition of growing in other countries. It is a platform for artisans, buyers, academics, designers and cultural tourists. The platform promotes local craft heritage, and works to protect and revitalize those practices that are sustainable, ethical but at risk of disappearing. The project is informed by academic research, funded by the GCRF (Global Research Challenge Fund) and AHRC (Arts Humanities Research Council) and run in a partnership with University of Leicester.
